He just had no idea who he was or what happened to him, until he met Julian's best friend, Jenna, by chance. Julian Jennings has always known who he is and what he does and doesn't like. He loves the 80s decade. He loves to run his bar. He loves sex with no strings. And now, likes Roman. He liked him from the moment he met him face to face, the only problem is that Roman has been living his life like a straight man. Now? A MM erotic romance that's more romance than erotic.

This was romantic, funny, engaging and sweet. The chemistry between Julian and Roman had just the right sizzle and pop. I loved the 80's references, the decor and music. Secondary characters added the right touch to their romance. I giggled and cried, it was a genuinely romantic story. Very well written and paced. A great story!!Product details

Roman Julian edition by Alex Tempera Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
**gifted copy for honest review**
One of my favorite tropes- discovering you are gay. Right up there with gay for you. Which this could *almost* be called.
Roman thought he liked women, but he never forgot the mysterious guy who was drawn to his painting.
Julian was out and proud for as long as he could remember. But being burned in the past has lead him to a love em and leave em way of life.
Roman and Julian meet again and although Roman is ready to jump right in to a relationship, Julian makes him wait. What ensues really is a romancing of each by the other. Discovering their true selves and opening their hearts.
While I did absolutely enjoy this book- I do love a good story and romance to go along with the sex- my only complaint is that I think it could have been longer. There easily could have been more story in the story, if that makes sense.
Definitely read this sweet and sexy romance.
This novel is so down to earth yet it is captivating, it's use of Shakespearean references making it nuanced and understated in theme and tone. I have the sense that the author wants to let the reader interpret the subject matter, and there are no proclamations and awkward comments within the narrative, as this is written in a very sophisticated and natural style that puts the reader at ease. The reader is left plenty of room to form their own impressions and this is in no way didactic but a novel that has suggestions and connotations and therefore the reader is empowered to engage with the dialogue and look at things from their own personal perspective. Star crossed friends explore a journey together, exploring their own identities....
There are many references to the 1980's that really add atmosphere, and yet this novel is very contemporary, with many allusions to the here and now too.
The novel is a must for anyone who likes a good story, and the storyline is compellingly moving. This is a novel that is filled with emotional resonance and sympathy for the main characters, offering insights that show an amazing understanding not only of the genre but also of human relationships, and family bonds.
Roman and Julian is a real revelation and I am looking to buy another book from this writer soon....
